Community based behaviour, life skills and family support

Bloom Behaviour Support Services provides evidence informed behaviour support for children and youth ages 0–19 with diverse support needs, including autism, ADHD and developmental disabilities. We work alongside children, youth and families to develop behavioural, emotional, social, communication and self regulation skills, while building caregiver knowledge and confidence. Our goals support independence, participation, wellbeing and quality of life.

Helping children and youth build skills for everyday life.

Based in Kelowna, we provide support in the Okanagan and virtual consultation and caregiver coaching across British Columbia.

Nurturing Connections and Empowering Growth.

Support Built Around Your Family

Every child, young person and family brings their own strengths, priorities and experiences. We plan support together around the child or young person’s needs and the family’s goals, interests and daily routines. Services range from consultation and caregiver coaching to individualized intervention, with the level of support matched to those needs and goals.

Bloom’s Philosophy

Connection, trust and regulation guide our work. Our approach is family centred, neurodiversity affirming, trauma informed and evidence based. We prioritize connection, emotional safety, predictability and choice, adapting support to each child’s experiences, strengths and needs.

We focus on skills that make everyday life more accessible and meaningful, including asking for help, communicating needs, taking breaks and participating in activities that matter to each person.

“When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.”

Naturalistic Whole Child Behaviour Support

Learning happens throughout everyday life. We use naturalistic teaching and principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to build skills through play, interests, routines and community experiences.

We consider the environment, sensory needs, relationships and daily demands when planning support. We work with families and other professionals to understand challenges and adjust strategies as needs change.
